Yes, L'absent, you are absolutely correct. Most athletes are very comfortable in this way - being fully nude in front of others. When I was younger, I was too shy. My father noticed this and told me I would have to get over it, so he often put me in situations (like sport camps) where I would have to become more comfortable in my own body this way. It was a good thing because I ended up going to an all male school that was very focused on athletics. So I became much more comfortable with nudity like this among my classmates. I was grateful that showing hard was also accepted among my peers at the time. No one felt like they had to quickly hide an erection if and when they got one. So it was very much like this - especially some teams would bond and maybe occasionally have a circle jerk. I heard that that had happened at some times and I did get to join in one once when I was in high school. But usually any "messing around" with other guys was more private in the dorms.
