Today has been another dreadful day for south eastern Australia. Bushfires are still raging and much forest and grassland have been destroyed as well as homes and other farm buildings. In New South Wales alone about 140 fires are still burning, 30 of these uncontained or even out of control, especially in difficult to get to places. Three teenagers were arrested after lighting a grass fire on the outskirts of Sydney threatening homes. In the part of Sydney where I am living the temperature reached 42.5 degrees Celsius and most of Sydney had temperatures over 40 degrees Celsius. A cool change is working its way up the coast, but temperatures in Sydney are expected to remain above 30 degrees Celsius till after midnight, making sleeping very difficult if one does not have airconditioning. My fans have been working overtime all day and will continue into the night.

Hoping good karma finds and stays with you, my lord. Stay safe. And help the police kick those dumb-ass kids in the ass!!

... just think of us, sitting over here in central Europe, where it's raining CONSTANTLY, where skies are dark grey ALL DAY, where the sun NEVER CUMS OUT, and where it's COLD ... that might make enduring the heatwave just that bit easier ... ... I for one am tempted to say that I envy you ... !
